Greetings Brothers,
A busy month has just passed by and we’ve got a busy month ahead. However, things have been going smoothly because of the support of my fellow brethren. A Master can only be as strong as the lodge that supports him and luckily I have a strong lodge to support me.
There are big things on the horizon for Corinthian Lodge. Mark Osenko, the Worshipful Master of Adelphi-Momauguin Lodge No. 63, called me a few weeks ago and we talked about a possible merger of our lodges. I rounded up a couple brothers from our lodge to meet with Mark and members of his lodge and preliminary discussions have begun on a possible merger. Should this go through it’ll have a major impact on our lodge. More news will follow on this as discussions proceed.
On March 29th 7 brothers from our lodge traveled to Madison Lodge No. 87 to have them initiate our newest brother, Al Rotondo. I’d like to congratulate Bro. Al on his initiation and welcome him to our Fraternity.
On April 4th the lodge was treated to an interesting presentation by Chuck 2.0 Landau, which he has titled “The Hidden Mysteries of Masonry.” His lecture discusses the different aspects of Jewish mysticism and Freemasonry and their similarities. We were also treated to a delicious kosher style meal prepared by Marty Rudnick. I’d like to thank both brothers for their contributions to that evening’s festivities.
April 11 was a Special Communication to confer the Fellowcraft Degree on Brothers Jack Fisher and Mark Stewart. Both of these brothers have been working hard at their studies and I’d like to congratulate them for their efforts. It won’t take long for them to become proficient as Fellowcrafts I’m sure. On April 18th we participated in a Table Lodge with Day Spring Lodge No. 30 and other local lodges. The fellowship and festivity such an event affords shouldn’t be missed by anyone. Better fellowship leads to stronger brotherhood.
Coming up in May and June we have a lot going on. You can find all the details on the calendar in this trestle board. I continue to look forward to serving the lodge and perpetuating the good works of our craft. I’ll see you in lodge
