A BRIEF LODGE HISTORY
Corinthian Lodge #103 was Instituted on February 12, 1868. Its first Lodge was located in the Northford section in the Town of North Branford. On December 3, 1879, tragedy struck in the form of a fire and the Northford building along with all Corinthian #103 records and furniture were totally destroyed. Corinthian #103 then moved into Totoket Hall also in North Branford. On December 17, 1913, the last meeting was held in North Branford and Corinthian #103 moved to Linsley Hall located in North Haven. On September 19, 1945, Corinthian #103 held its last meeting in Linsley Hall because the Town Fire Marshall ordered these quarters closed because of fire hazard. At the same time, the Town of North Haven had the old Center School Building for sale and Corinthian #103 formed Corinthian Lodge #103 Inc. and purchased the building from the Town. After major renovations to the school building, Corinthian #103 had a dedication of the new Lodge on November 1, 1947, and it has been our home ever since. |
